What is the relationship between DMX512 and PWM dimming?
DMX512 is a control protocol.
PWM dimming is a form of control. Adjust the brightness of the lamp by changing the duty cycle of the pulse, that is, the output power of the power supply.
The data transmitted by the DMX512 is the brightness and darkness information of the lamp to be adjusted. To achieve the brightness of the lamp, we need to use PWM dimming to control the output power of the power supply.
There are three principles of LED dimmers.
1. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) digitizes the power square wave and controls the duty cycle of the square wave to achieve the purpose of controlling the current.
2. Constant current power supply regulation The current can be easily adjusted by analog linear technology.
3. Grouping control Groups multiple LEDs and regulates them with a simple grouper.
